Soltius was a finalist in the Small-to-Medium Workplace category and was the only SAP services provider to be named in the top 10 of any of the award’s categories.
Now in its 12th year, the JRA survey uses confidential feedback from organisations’ employees to rate their employers. Soltius Director Jim Brodie says the result was especially pleasing because of the growth of the company over the past few years, with more than 80 consultants now based in the company’s Auckland and Wellington offices.
“When you are constantly bringing a lot of new people into an organisation it can be difficult to maintain a consistent culture, but in our case it seems to have strengthened Soltius.
“We have a strong commitment to attracting the top people in the SAP field and giving them opportunities to develop and grow, and we put a lot of effort into keeping them challenged and engaged in their roles – as well as fostering a fun, collaborative atmosphere. Attracting and retaining good people in the business attracts more good people so it’s a virtuous circle.”
Soltius has participated in the JRA Awards every year since 2001, although this is the first time their company-wide score has put them in the top 10 nationwide. Mr. Brodie says that the survey is an important measure of success for the company and is scrutinised by management every year to identify areas for improvement.
“Our main motivation for participating in this survey is to find ways to make Soltius an even better place to work, so being a finalist for the award was a nice bonus and confirmation that we are on the right track.”
