Sydney, Aug. 8, 2019 – Zag and its customers, Auckland Council and Ballance Agri-Nutrients, have been named as winners at the SAP Best Run Awards held in Sydney yesterday.
Amongst strong competition from businesses across Australasia, Zag was extremely proud to walk away with 20% of the awards. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of top companies using SAP products to transform their businesses, drive innovation and win in the experience economy.
Zag was a finalist across four categories and won the Best Run SAP CRM & Customer Experience and Digital Supply Chain awards with Auckland Council and Ballance Agri-Nutrients respectively. We were the only partner to win more than one award.

Winner – Best Run SAP CRM & Customer Experience –with Auckland Council
This CRM & Customer Experience award recognises the Best Run SAP C/4HANA project in ANZ that has built trusted relationships between their brands and customers, creating customers for life.
Using SAP Commerce and CRM, Zag and the team at Auckland Council digitised the complex Building and Resource Consents process to make it as easy as possible for customers to submit high quality consents online.
“The Auckland Council SAP Customer Experience platform was one of the first global deployments in the public sector, built to provide Auckland residents with online Council services. Zag and the team at Auckland Council remain at the forefront of public sector digital transformation, with online consenting processes from any device, 24/7,” says Phil Cameron, Managing Director for SAP New Zealand.
The solution presents a responsive web design ensuring customers can create, manage, pay and receive updates on their consent applications conveniently 24/7 via desktop, tablet or mobile. Built-in online decision tools and contextual guides educate customers through the consent process, informing them of relevant legislation.

The Digital Supply Chain award recognises the Best Run SAP project in ANZ that streamlines design to operate processes, improves customer outcomes, provides increased visibility into business operations and supports business innovation.
Zag and the team at Ballance Agri-Nutrients partnered to create MyBallance, a customer centric eCommerce solution that is fast becoming the common digital access point for all customer and supplier interactions. Over time it will become the one-stop shop for all things Ballance Agri-Nutrients.
