SAP’s iconic event and annual conference SAPPHIRENOW is next week and we’re excited to get amongst the action!

There is so much anticipation for SAPPHIRENOW where industry leaders and early adopters in the SAP world present on major technology trends and the latest breakthroughs in solutions. Stay tuned as we’ll be bringing you the latest news from our Soltius budding reporters, the week of the conference.

Nick, Glenda, Warrick, Jan, Carl and Cam will be winging their way to Orlando ready and poised to take in all that is SAP.  We asked them what they’re looking forward to this year, here’s what they said:

For our CEO, Nick Mulcahy, SAPPHIRENOW is vital to connecting with various SAP executives who will be delivering their future roadmap to the who’s who of SAP including many Soltius customers. It grants the opportunity to have impactful conversations with customers on how technology can make a strong difference within their business. Nick expects great results to come from promoting our plant maintenance product, MyPM, at the conference, especially with the recent success in both USA and Australia. Nick anticipates SAP will deliver the next level insight into where S/4HANA is going and when customers can expect value beyond Suite on HANA. He is looking forward to the Hasso Plattners Keynote which always promises an exciting and entertaining presentation. The real value he holds in this conference, is spending time with customers as they imagine their future business with SAP.

For our Customer Solution Manager, Jan Devereux, SAPPHIRENOW is an insightful high energy event that leave the team buzzing with new ideas and concepts. “The best part about visiting SAPPHIRE is bringing the stories and innovations back to help New Zealand businesses be the best they can be, enabling them to prosper locally and globally.” Jan will be spending her time delving into the reality behind new innovations and solutions from SAP and their partners, looking at what is relevant in the NZ market and how customers can best innovate in the future from the emerging technology. She expects the conference to have a major focus on intelligence/ intelligent enterprise, automation and customer experience. Last year SAP announced SAP Leonardo and Jan expects to see showcases of its practical application, customers learnings and benefits achieved from Leonardo platform deployments. She’s also looking forward to the ‘immersive zone’ on the conference floor and experiencing the latest and new technologies on offer.

Sitting firmly in the innovation space, our GM of Innovation, Warrick Johnson is chomping at the bit to get amongst the emerging tech SAPPHIRE will be launching. Warrick appreciates the vast showcase of art of the possible as well as seeing the direction of where general technical trends are taking us. It allows him to jump ahead and innovate for the next wave of technology within Soltius. Warrick expects to see several key announcements from SAP particularly for within the eCommerce and IoT offerings as well as new partner offerings in AI, Machine Learning, and IOT. “With AWS being a platinum sponsor this year I’m looking forward to seeing the innovation in their SAP oriented offerings, including some in-built automation tools that we can apply into our own automation stack, making it even more of a global leading solution and managed service.” Warrick is eager to see more of the continued IoT revolution and how this is being handled back into the more traditional CRM and EAM of many of our customers.

For SAPPHIRENOW veteran Glenda Godfrey, Senior Account Manager, this is her third time at the conference – she thinks it is shaping up to be an exciting event. With the announcement of the Leonardo platform last year, Glenda expects to see how organisations have maximised the platform particularly in emerging areas such as machine learning, IoT, predictive analytics and more. She is also very keen to see the latest S/4HANA and Hybris roadmaps as well as how SAP works with ESRI and HANA. Glenda will be attending alongside key customers. This event helps to crystallise areas of innovation and align to their business strategies. With the large group in attendance, Glenda is confident the group can cover more ground and be across all new technologies to share with our customers back in New Zealand.

For Cam Millar, our Global Channel Manager SAPPHIRENOW is an opportunity to showcase our MyPM SAP Mobile Asset Management solution. He’s excited to meet potential partners who may be interested in taking MyPM to their customers to digitally mobilise their maintenance workforce. “We have a booth which was very popular last year, I’m really looking forward to meeting and talking to SAP Asset Management customers about how MyPM could help them.” Cam anticipates there will be plenty of inspiration arising from key SAP sessions and expects to hear a lot about what’s coming next for our customers.
